With the recent USCIS processing changes, what is a realistic expectation for when I might see movement or action on my case?
And I get it, no one really knows but just feeling bummed out by all these delays and trying to be a bit optimistic.
If you could live anywhere in the U.S., where would you choose?
I’m a physician, so job availability isn’t a constraint, and I’m ready for a change. I currently live in a smaller city in Indiana with my spouse (stay-at-home) and two young children (ages 4 and 6). We don’t have family ties in other states, so we’re open to relocating anywhere.
Priorities:
Lifestyle outside of work: A city with strong after-hours energy—things to do beyond 9–5
Family-friendly environment: Plenty of structured and unstructured activities for young kids (sports, classes, parks, community programs)
Education: Good schools, but not necessarily top-tier at this stage
Career opportunities: Strong, stable physician job market with flexibility and growth potential
Diversity: A culturally diverse and socially dynamic environment (South Asian)
Climate: Prefer warmer weather; not interested in northern climates
Cost of living: Reasonable overall cost, especially coming from a low-cost area like Indiana
