every time I try to go to the company, it says ‘No data has been collected on this creature. a scan is required’. why is this happening? it hasn’t happened before

I’m very new, only have about 3-4 hours in this game but I love it. poor jebediah Kerman is stuck orbiting earth at a horrible angle because it was not a very good attempt 😅. can I go and get him back in a few days/weeks irl time (the time it will take for me to learn how to save him)?
