First of all, please do not harass the owner or members of this subreddit this is simply a warning about joining "activism" spaces.

So I recently got an invite to this subreddit via Reddit DMs which promotes itself as a vague trans empowerment, socialist, activism space. Looking into it I got some bad vibes and wanted to share what information I found.

- I found very little information about the owner of the sub and all of their socials use AI images. Their podcast also uses AI images and the script feels very generic as well. I've attached some screenshots.

- Most of the posts are of trans people posting selfies along with introductions with personal information. It seems very dangerous to identify yourself in a trans socialist activism subreddit when the credibility of the owner of the sub can't be verified. So if you have posted a welcome post in there I'd recommend taking it down, and if you are going to join the sub, do so with a throwaway account or an account where you can't be easily identified.

- This doesn't apply to just this sub but the internet in general. If you're going to be involved in activism (eg. going to protests) please don't have your face on the internet. Governments are now using facial recognition technology that can connect protesters to their online accounts and can record all public information about you.

Please be wary of subs and other communities that advertise themselves as empowering activist groups.
