So we know by the end of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 at least a few things about Luke Cage after we last saw him:

-He and Jessica got back together again in one form or another and had Danielle
-Mr. Charles recruited Luke to do work overseas for the U.S. Government

But what I’m still wondering is what happened before any of that?

When we last saw Luke, he was in charge of Harlem’s Paradise and made the arrangements that all major criminal operations would stay out of the neighbourhood.

Luke knew if he didn’t step in, somebody was going to push there way in to fill the power vacuum that Mariah had left behind.

So did Luke just eventually realize he was turning into a criminal (like Mariah had hoped) and step away from the club to build a life with Jessica?

Did Thanos wiping out half of the population leave Harlem in such chaos that even Luke Cage couldn’t hold back the flood of crime?

Or did Luke just get blackmailed by Mr. Charles one day into working for Uncle Sam and now that he’s back home he has to pick up where he left off with Harlem’s Paradise?

I’m sure they’ll get into it in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 with an exposition dump, but I would love to hear your thoughts.
