Did I fumble with 2 messages??

(First post, sorry for any mistakes!)

I (17M) am in my gap year after high school and so is my crush (17F). I'm at home all day everyday this year. My crush and I talked from time to time while we were at school but not as often as we've been texting for the past month or so. 90% of the time I'm the one initiating conversations or asking questions so I thought she didn't like me back but a mutual friend that I've been getting advice from said she's the same with him so I thought I was good.

Fast forward a bit, I was getting tired of trying to guess whether or not my feelings were reciprocated. I had already tried to meet up with her (which she agreed to) but due to circumstances it didn't happen. So I confessed over text and that went something like this:

Me: I know this is very sudden but I wanted to say I like you and I think you're a fun person to be around. It's cool if you don't feel the same way, we can still be friends for sure, I just wanted to put my feelings to rest.

Her: Omg!! Really?? (this caught me completely off guard so my response was: )

Me: Yeah?

Me: But I need to get to know you better to be sure of anything (by this I meant I wanted to talk to her more to see what she was really like but that's how it came out)

Her: I honestly don't know how to respond to this

Me: My bad, I know this is very sudden

Her: Yes it is

I let it end there because I thought it was a rejection but I realized her first response implies some form of enthusiasm. So should I follow it up?? Should I tell her what I meant by my second message or ask what she meant by "I honestly don't know how to respond"?? Please help!!!

Edit: This happened a week ago at this point 😭 . But we still talk so bringing it up may be awkward but not impossible
