Confirmed for a CELTA on June 8th!

I know it's a bit of a nothing post, but I've been talking about doing a CELTA for months, and I just got the confirmation that I've been accepted on the course today. That week, I'll be moving to Manchester, and finally taking a big step that I've done nothing but talk about for too long.

Huge amount of nerves, but I've been preparing, and I think I'm going to smash it, whatever it takes. Next steps, I haven't managed to pin down mentally just yet, but I'm so excited, nervous, giddy, tense, everything.

Took me a long time to get past Phrike for the first time. It took me a fair handful of tries to get to Ixion, and five or six more tries to beat Ixion. Just now, I managed to sail to Nemesis pretty handily in one run of Biome 3, but got flustered and disoriented during Nemesis' last stage.

I suck at bullet hells, shooters, and roguelikes, but I've been having so much damn fun right out the gate with Returnal. Worth every penny.

I'm currently getting my absolute dick kicked off by Returnal and, in a brief interim between runs to retain my sanity, thought I'd pull a post together. Seriously, I can't even beat the first boss. Lord almighty.

From the North West of the UK, but, if all goes to plan, I'll be doing a CELTA qualification in Manchester very shortly. After that, I'll be sticking around for a little bit to get some experience under my belt, then buggering off ASAP.

Exactly where, I haven't got a clue. So, wherever you're from is fine by me, because who knows? I may end up around there naturally anyway. Life's been very quiet on both the new friends and the dating scene for some time. Whatever we get out of a connection is fine by me.

Anyway.

My Steam library is a joke and most if not all co-op games have been left to languish, so it'd be good to dust off a few of those with someone. I also love FFXIV so very much. Recently started a fresh playthrough, so I'd be keen to get into it with a newbie or jump back in with a veteran.

Huge music nerd. I'll take any excuse to go to a gig, even if I don't know them, and I'll listen to pretty much anything. Hot Mulligan, St Paul & The Broken Bones, is 2026's current calendar, with Drumcode Mallorca and Bilmuri coming up fast.

Huge literature, theatre and poetry fan. Concerning love and obsession for all things Tolkien. I'm parting with many things, but my scrappy, barely-held-together copies of a surprisingly unique version of the books will be with me until the grave. At least £800 worth of Tolkien nonsense in the collection and counting.

I live in too shit of an area to visit the theatre often, sadly. My last visit was a repeat trip to London to see Hadestown a second time.

And I just love all poetry. Rec trading?

I'll leave a brief intro there for now. And to put a face to the name
