a few months ago I replaced all pads and rotors and accidentally messed up my parking break on one side. I haven’t worked on newer cars in a while and wasn’t aware of the parking break release thing and just twisted the piston… 🤦🏻‍♂️ from what I initially read, I can just buy an actuator and replace it but I just spoke to the mechanic down the street and he said it’s a real pain in the butt because of the calibration.

According to ai (which is wrong more often than not) it’s an easy fix that should only cost $200-$600 but the mechanic said don’t be surprised to see $1500-$2000… he also mentioned that it needs to be replaced on both sides.

My car is a 2021 and has 86k miles.

is there anyone who has experience with this?

I have a very stupid question.. I own a Dainese Misano 3 suit. it has an airbag.

FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, Dainese says you don’t need to wear a back protector because the airbag is 7x stronger.

other reports say that the airbag only covers neck and collarbone area, so the back still needs to be protected.

AI says, the suit has insert pouches and I can buy the individual protectors to add, but they are not existent.

i also read that there should be some wiggle room in the suit so the airbag can properly deploy (around 2” around the chest).

I am currently going through ChampU and the instructit’s wear this same suit and talk about wearing a back/chest protector.

if I wear my alpinestar nucleon vest, while it fits, it gets super tight.

now, all you with the Misano 3 suit do you wear a back protector underneath or no?
