The hardest part of parenting

Is it just me, or is having pets the hardest part of parenting? With my firstborn, I hated the dog and how much she needed. Granted, we have a high energy dog and she needed a lot of attention and training before baby was born. Now that I’m 3 weeks in to 2u2, I find myself hating the dog even more. It doesn’t help that she tore her ACL and had surgery 6 weeks ago, so she has extensive medical care now and for the next 10 weeks. But literally she just whines and barks all day because she can’t run to get her energy out. I love her, but seriously. Life would be so much easier without her. I also have a cat who poops by my front door every morning. She never had litter box problems until my firstborn started to walk. Now I can’t seem to find any solution other than just accepting my fate of cleaning up her daily mess. I love her and I hate her so much. If I could do this all over again, I never would have gotten pets before having kids.
