And Liko sacrificed Meowscarada for this... what purpose did he even serve? The magazine said he’d have an important role in the story, yet Armarouge ended up doing almost nothing. At first, I thought he was a great addition because he could protect Meowscarada from Bug and Fire-types... but that only happened once against Arcanine and never again. So what was even the point of giving Liko this Pokémon if she barely does anything with it? And the way he got completely trashed during the climax just made it even worse.

Now that we’ve seen what Rakurium Core can do, how do you think it compares to past main villains in terms of threat level. Curious to hear how everyone ranks it.

Roy: Wants to sing with his Skeledirge, which honestly makes sense. Even before the timeskip, Roy and Fuecoco loved singing, so having a goal tied to that feels natural. I also heard there might be a contest episode this arc, according to a Moot who accurately leaked Arc 7. He’s not always reliable, but this is believable. If that’s true, Roy could be heading in that direction. We also see him in the Arc 7 preview fighting a Feebas that can evolve into Milotic, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Dot: She said she wants to learn more about Pokémon. That’s a fair goal considering she’s a streamer and already very knowledgeable, so wanting to gain even more knowledge for her content makes sense. Honestly, it’s just good that she finally has a clear goal now, because before this she didn’t really have one.

Liko: They still haven’t revealed her goal, so it could be anything at this point. I just hope it’s something unique. This really feels like their last chance to redeem her after how she’s been handled. But at the same time, there are some good signs. Liko had the most focus in the latest episode, even if Roy and Amethio handled the action, and she’s also highlighted in the Arc 7 preview. On top of that, her VA is the one who’s been talking the most about the Wonder Voyage arc. All of that could mean Liko might actually play a meaningful role this time.

Navi : We still don’t know much about her. All we know is that she’s from Luminous City and that she’s going to meet a Ditto on the airship, which will become her ace Pokémon. That already suggests she has little to no experience and will likely grow alongside the others as the story progresses. She’s also apparently connected to a Gen 10 Pokémon, rumored to be Psychic and Rock type, according to leaks.

So we’re basically going back to basics—back to what Pokémon originally was. Honestly, that’s what Horizons needed. They tried to tell a more original story, but it didn’t land as well as it could’ve, so it’s refreshing to see them return to what Pokémon does best. Also that probably means it's going to be episodic then
