So I am relatively new to vgc, I played pokemon when I was young and really enjoyed ruby but haven’t gotten much into newer entries or competitive play. Pokemon champions really introduced vgc to me and I’ve been having a blast with it but I am wondering, being a tcg enjoyer, are there any teams/strategies that play similar to a control playstyle from a tcg? I’m looking to see a strategy where you intentionally slow the pace down and try and win off reads or even some kind of alternate win condition. Something that highly rewards knowing matchups and has tools for countering?
