How long did your MacBooks last after liquid damage in case you didn’t get them repaired immediately after a liquid damage.

I recently spilled beer on my 4 month old laptop. It has a bit of moisture on the screen on left corner. The device still turns on and keyboard although a bit sticky on the same corner works fine. I have kept it shut down though and will let it dry for a week before charging it.

Meanwhile I have been trying to get quotes from macbook repair shops for a deep clean and have been quoted amounts ranging from £100-£250. I am not keen on spending that amount in case the screen fails or the device regardless of the clean dies in a couple day - months.

Any advice? Should I spent the above amount or just wing it and see how long the device keeps working?

While clerking in ED, I’ve sometimes been asked to review patients with high NEWS scores who have been referred to the medical team but not yet clerked.

I’m a bit unsure about responsibility in these situations. My understanding is that ED would usually continue to manage and stabilise the patient until they’ve been formally handed over and clerked by the medical team.
