Parents woke up to no water pressure. 180ft well with submersible pump. No water filtration/ softener system in place.

Gauge read 50psi but no water at the taps

Reset power, and manual switch. Still nothing.
He emptied the pipes with the drain valve by the switch, and very little water came out.

Bought a new switch, installed and now it arcs but no pressure buildup.

Any advice is appreciated !
