Many prominent automotive youtubers have stated that it is the most overrated brand. Many of these people have owned and driven them. These people include Carl Hartley, Tim Burton, Steve Hamilton, Supercar Ron and Andrew Tate, just to name a few. Many of the concerns stem from the car constantly breaking down and remaining long periods of time in maintenance.
Far beyond its success by increasing its sales without compromising exclusivity - thanks to its outstanding marketing team - Ferrari is also a cash cow.
Last year, it generated revenues of 7.15 billion euro, up by 7% vs 2024. More than that, it was able to earn 3.05 billion euro after paying the costs of production and the administrative and sales expenses. This means that it made almost 224,000 euro per car delivered. That’s a lot of money!
The results are far ahead of those posted by its two main rivals. Lamborghini, which is also in good health, sold three thousand cars less, but generated less than half of Ferrari’s revenue. Of course, this does not mean that its cars are less expensive. It means that it does not produce income from other activities as Ferrari does. Still, it managed to earn 71,500 euro per car sold.
Aston Martin is the troubled one. Its revenue fell by 19% to 1.44 billion euro following the sales of 5,448 cars. Meanwhile, it posted losses of 297 million euro (in 2024: -111 million euro). It then lost 55,000 euro per car sold.

I know about Porsche's financial troubles but the timing of the events seem a little suspicious. Do you think the Mat Armstrong beef triggered the sell off?
