How should I go about arguing JJAEP placements
Location: Harris County, Texas
Earlier this current school year, I was expelled for a false report against me.
My expulsion was due to end on May 28th, 2026 and I was to be allowed back to that school, when I had emailed the Principal (Email was sent on May 5th, 2026) she had told me I was supposed to be attending a Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) for a full year following my expulsion, however I was never informed of this.
She then told me I wasn't allowed back to ANY public school until the JJAEP was finished, but then said (verbatim) "Once you re-enroll in a public school you would then begin to serve your 1 year expulsion. The school will give all information about JJAEP."
I thought I had already served my full year's expulsion in homeschooling, but I guess I hadn't?
I checked old emails to my mom that were sent when I was expelled but there was no notice of this placement until recently. (EDIT: recently as in the email where she told me about my placement) Is it possible for me to argue this placement and return to that school next year?
I would like to let it be known that I was never allowed to appeal my expulsion as we have no superintendent in our district, and also that the report that was filed against me was in retaliation to a break-up I had had with my ex, it got messy and she was planning with her friends to get me expelled because of it.
So, how exactly should I go about this?
