I recently bought a wireless N64 controller from eBay (here’s a link to the listing: https://ebay.us/m/xwglnf). Although the price is probably much lower than a standard retail model, but I’m fairly certain it’s legit and not a cheap knockoff that doesn’t work properly
For some reason I can’t get the controller to connect to my Switch. I’ve followed all instructions provided by Nintendo: make sure the controller is charged, then go to Connect Controllers, select Change Grip Order, press the sync button on the flash drive while it’s connected to the USB port, and push L and R on the controller. Nothing.
The red lights on the controller above the c-stick will flash, the one on the farthest left stays lit after - which should indicate that it’s connected as player 1 and ready to go. But nothing happens when I push any of the buttons. It’s like the controller is being connected to the Switch, but none of the buttons work.
Can anyone help me out here? Is there an important step that I’m missing? Do you think the controller’s possibly defective and I should return it in exchange for a new one? Or did I probably get scammed out of $35?
