I took my car to the Chevy dealership for a couple repairs. My AC and dashboard screen were both blacked out. I was on day 93 on my 100 day warranty so I was under the impression I would have to pay the $350 deductible which I was fine with.
The dealership called me and said Silver Rock will cover 2 out of the 3 things they submitted. I told them to only do what Silver Rock will cover. A couple days later the dealership says what they did didn’t fix the dashboard so I need a new cluster. Again, I asked if Silver Rock will cover it and was told yes it was approved and covered before I approved them fixing it.
I show up to Chevy today and they said I owe $720 d/t Silver Rock “cutting corners” and not wanting to cover it all.
What are my options? I didn’t pay because I wasn’t anticipating spending that much so I would have needed to go home and get my husband’s credit card. So now the car is still at the dealership.
I would have never approved the repairs being done had I known it would be $720 and was only told that they were doing what was “covered” so why am I being charged almost $400 more?
I’m not sure if I should be going after the dealership or Silver Rock, does anyone have any suggestions?
