How to (at least temporarily) fix HyperX Cloud 3 broken hinges and loose sliders
Yesterday I made a post about sudden failure on both of my hinges on the Cloud 3 headset, and today after HyperX support was useless in helping, I decided to fix them myself.
Broken hinge plastic - When you remove the cover, you can put a small amount of superglue on a cotton swab and then rub it in from the inside to prevent the crack from spreading somewhat.
Loose sliders - Cut 1-2cm long piece of electric tape, and then cut it on it's shorter side to make it slimmer. Hold the slider firmly and wrap it around the slider, repeat with both pieces of the electric tape that you made. This made the headset adjusting really firm so it's not sliding anymore
I don't know for how long will this help but this will give me some time, at least temporarily. HP, if you're reading this, if you're going to make awful quality parts that seem to be prone to failure, at the very least offer replacement parts to buy. Apart from these issues, I loved the headset and it's a shame I have to fix it when they're only 2.5 years old. Do better.
