The pilots are dead and there's something wrong with the plant. Who WYR land it?
The plane is going down. Both pilots are dead and there's something mechanically wrong with the plane that's causing it to be hard to fly/land. No one knows what it is yet. You know that the issue is something where the plane can be landed if the person can diagnose it and fly the plane accordingly or solve the issue.
The second year flight school student is an A+ student that's passed every test he's taken with flying colours but hasn't flown anything larger than a Piper Arrow.
The flight simulator enthusiast has 5k hours in Microsoft flight simulator and flies 737 predominantly. He has a $10k set up with the flight chair, yoke, throttles and pedals to mimic a 737. He mods it to get the most realistic experience for a 737 as possible.
The 80 year old pilot was a commercial pilot from the 60s - 90s and hasn't flown since. He's been in a few situations where there were mechanical issues he recovered from. He's doesn't have any medical issues that'd keep him from flying other than his age.
The guy whose special interest is plane crashes has spent 2 hours a day everyday for the past 5 years studying them, their causes and how to recover from them. He's not into flight simulators and has never flown a plane. He's has encyclopedic knowledge of 737 components though and the various maneuvers and strategies to recover from different problems.
