Do I need to bore or would honing take care of this?
Tearing down and rebuilding a 2.9 V6 Cologne out of an 88 Ranger and most of the engine looks great. I noticed a couple cylinders have a tiny lip on the outboard side of the cylinder.
I was originally going to reuse these pistons and put in fresh king rings in but I’m curious if I honing stones might be okay to knock down this lip?
First full auto engine rebuild for me and I’m curious for a more experience opinion.
