Is there any form of safety equipment that I can use when climbing 40ft ladders?

Every other length doesn’t seem to bother me, but a fully extended 40 footer scares the shit out of me. I am in commercial roofing and need to either get over this fear or find tools or tactics that make it easier for me.

I feel like such a pussy posting this, but I could use some advice.
