OK so I've had this saw for just a little over a year. I've only used it on a handful of small projects (A custom bed frame and some props for a play, light "around the house" stuff). I don't remember what was going on when it triggered the first time, I just went to fire it up and got a solid red light. So today I finally replaced the brake and after 2 short rips it triggered again and I can't figure out why.

You can't tell the orientation of the blade from the video, but I was just ripping a 45 onto the edge of this 3/4" plywood (YES, THAT'S WHY I'M DOING IT IN AN UNSAFE MANNER I KNOW I KNOW (but feel free to rip on me anyway; I know I deserve it). At the very end of the cut the brake triggers. I left the part where I'm being a crybaby about it for entertainment purposes.

Is this saw defective? There was nothing but dry plywood anywhere near the blade when it happened. No fingers, no hotdogs, nothing. I really like this saw otherwise, but this is starting to feel like a scam to sell brake cartridges.
