I'm a 51M divorcing a 51F. My parents and grandfather are helping with our two daughters' tuition. She thinks that this help should be labeled as a gift and that her and I should split the remaining amounts. But I think that my family's contributions and mine should be considered the same and I should push for an equal contribution by parent / family?

We have a mediator but I am just wondering if anyone has fought over this in their divorce proceedings.
