Not looking to use this name, just super curious how other people perceive it. I found a really old ancestor in my family with this as a first name (male), and it feels so random and not culturally relevant in a time when every other name seemed to be.

Have you ever heard of someone with this name? And/or does anyone have a better idea of the history of its usage?
