Hi, I've been running in some no-name, crappy pair of shoes for the past few months and I'm finally ready to buy a pair of running shoes from a well-known brand. Asics Novablast 5 is one of the options I'm looking at.

The other day, I went to a store and tried them on. The shoes fit me perfectly. However, I feel like I'm a bit too high off the ground and my feet feel like they're on little water beds, so much so that it feels unstable. I understand it is due to the foam but since I have never actually had proper running shoes before, I can't tell if this is how it should feel or they're not the shoes for me...

I don't know anyone who owns these shoes in my circles so I'm turning to you guys. Will this "unstable" feeling go away as I get used to them and as the foam is compressed or should I be looking for some other pair of shoes? If so, do you have any recommendations?
