Quote help - comparison
Hi all,
I’ve had a few quotes for a solar + battery install in East Anglia on our S/SW-facing roof.
I feel like I’ve done enough research to make a stab at what to go for but as it is not comparing like for like I’m struggling to work out which would be the best system for me/value and I keep second-guessing myself.
One quote was through my energy supplier, the other was from a company that was recommended by another household on my estate. Both quotes have bird-guard etc included.
Quote 1: £11,900
16x DMEGC515w Mono facial Module with Double Glass solar panel
Fox ESS KH 7kW 1ph Hybrid Inverter inverter 1
Fox Ess EP12-H 11.52Kwh Li-Ion Battery (10Yr)
Quote 2: £10,600
16x Jinko Tiger Neo 3.0 470W All Black Dual Glass
Mono
Sigenergy Sigenstor 6kW 1ph Hybrid
Sigenergy 8.76kWh Battery
Quote 2 added a ‘1X SIGENERGY WHOLE HOME BACK UP GATEWAY’ as an extra for £1,350 but don’t see anything similar on the first quote.
Appreciate there is a disparity in storage volume between the two but thoughts on the systems themselves and what I might not be seeing? Are the smaller (and apparently more efficient) Jinko panels better than the higher wattage DMEGC? App functionality for these ok?
Thanks in advance!
