I came out to my girlfriend over a year ago but have not come out to anyone else yet. Currently we rely on my income to pay the bills which has been holding me back from starting hormones. I work in residential carpentry which is a very non accepting transphobic environment but I make great money and would take a huge pay cut if I switch career paths. I’m dying to start hrt and it’s getting harder every day but I’m scared changes will start to happen that will be noticeable by my coworkers and potentially out me to them. My girlfriend recently finished school and is applying to jobs so the goal is to have me leave my job once she has a stable income. I know it varies for everyone but would it be too risky to start hrt 5-8 months before I leave my job?
TL;DR
I can’t come out at my job or quit for the next 6 months. Would I still be able to start HRT now and successfully boymode until I can quit?
