Why I think internal AI systems & RAG infrastructure will become more important than generic AI chatbots

One thing I’ve been noticing while exploring startup operations and AI systems:

Most growing teams already have the data they need.

The problem is usually that operational knowledge is fragmented across:

- CRMs

- docs

- PDFs

- dashboards

- chats

- spreadsheets

- internal workflows

People spend massive amounts of time:

- searching for information

- repeating tasks

- manually transferring context

- coordinating between disconnected systems

I think this is where internal AI systems, retrieval pipelines, and operational intelligence become much more interesting than generic “AI chatbot” hype.

Currently exploring this direction through RagLabs alongside workflow automation and operational infrastructure systems.

Curious how other people here see the future of internal AI tooling evolving.
