What is Jester-Link?
Jester-Link is an online PvP card battle game, which combines connect-4 with cards.

How is it played?
Just like in a normal connect-4 game, the goal is to connect 4 pieces. Pieces can be connected in a row, column, or diagonally. In Jester-Link there are cards which can be used to alter the state of the game. Each player has a deck, which they can build and use in a strategic manner to make the outcome of the match in their favor. The player who lays out their pieces on the board tactically and combines that with strategic card play, will win the game.
Where did the Idea come from?
The idea for the game came to me while playing Yugi-oh duel links. For some reason I started thinking about all of the board and card games I played throughout my life. Anyways. My brain stopped at tic-tac-toe, and I remembered when me and my childhood friend played the heck out of that. And then I thought it would be cool if there were cards that could manipulate the the pieces after they were layed out on the board, to increase the strategy level of the game. But I brushed off the idea since I thought, the cards that could be developed for a 3x3 grid were very limited. After a while I thought of the same thing, but this time with the connect-4 board, and all of a sudden I had many more ideas for cards that could be developed for the game.
Who is this game for?
If you are like me and like to play online card battle games online like Yugi-oh, or other card games such as Magic the gathering, Pokemon TCG. You might also like it if you enjoy board games such as connect-4, but are looking to increase the strategy level of the game. The plan is to make it more competetive as well, by implementing ranking systems, like that which is implemented in chess for example. This game will have no pay to win gimmicks, I promise that. And I will try to make the animations in game limited as I know from experience how annoying that can be. Although some animations must be implemented otherwise, there won't be anyway to tell what is happening on the board.
