Problem with ghost cursor on screen when using a 2nd monitor (Zorin 18 Core, Soft Brightness Plus ver. 27)

Hi, I just found a solution to this problem *(Using Gemini AI)*: just unpin/swithc-off that extension and install ddcutil.
Here are the steps:

  1. sudo apt install ddcutil
  2. ddcutil detect -> read the name of the 2nd monitor (mine is Display 1)
  3. sudo ddcutil --display 1 setvcp 10 50 -> change only the value "50" from 1 to 100 to adjust the luminosity

tldr
The problem arised when I upgraded the version from 26 to 27 (the latest stable on Zorin). The problem is that the actual version is 48 so in order to find the 26 you have to search on the history, about the year 2022 [when the coder was another guy vs the one that develop it now].
In order to downgrade to ver 26 you have to do some "coding" that is not so straightforward, so I preferred to try different options.

Before landing on ddcutil I tried without success wlsunset; and brightness-controller but this solution was too "heavy" on my disk space (~300 MB ).

I'm not an expert in using the terminal, but I love Zorin for the idea and for its usefulness enabling the use of old machine (mine has 13 years, Celeron 1005M) still capables of doing some light work for student or "normal people".
I hope someone will find helpful this solution.
