EDIT: A full reset without importing any settings fixed this issue. I'll leave the rest up for posterity.

I just received the Global version of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra. While setting up my apps I realized I could not use fingerprint sign in on banking apps and that I am entirely unable to log in on other apps (so far Alarm.com, Arlo Secure, eBay, myQ, and PayPal).

I downloaded SafetyNet Checker from the Play Store and discovered the devices fails on "Account Verification", "Device Integrity", and "App Integrity". It passes on "Response Signature Verification". In the Play Store I am told the "Device is not certified" under "Play Protect certification". I have tried the following:

  • Verifying the device is on the list of Google certified devices (it is, CPH2841)
  • Updating the device (currently on CPH2841_16.0.7.204 (EX01))
  • Clearing Google data and restarting the device as detailed on this reddit post
  • Contacting Google support and working through their troubleshooting steps
  • Contacting OPPO (currently awaiting email reply as there is no number or live chat)

Does anyone have any recommendations? I am on the global version and the phone is one of those approved by Google services, so I don't know why it's currently saying it's not certified. The bootloader is not unlocked, and I did try disabling Developer Options (all I used this for was animation scaling).

My next step was to try and register on Google's uncertified devices website, but I don't think I can access my Google Services Framework Android ID without rooting.
