I think my sister in law adopted Seldom

A massive black hungarian hound, came from a rehoming centre in the south east and described as a gentle giant:

*When he meets you for the first time, he runs at you and stares you down for a solid 30 seconds. You must stand your ground and not flinch, otherwise he'll jump on you. Only after you do that he'll allow you to be around him.

*He does not like people hugging each other, if you do he barks. My sister in law and her husband have had no displays of affection in THEIR OWN HOUSE for the last month due to this.

*You cannot eat sausages near him. He knows the smell and will expect you to give him ALL OF THEM. If you don't, he'll go for your plate.

*He cannot be trusted near sheep. Twice he's tried to jump a canal to get them, but swam back when he realised he couldn't make it across.

They are genuinely concerned about this, understandably. I never had to keep a straight face so hard in my entire life.
