I would like to set up my PC so that it can stream using OBS Studio. Video works well. I am able to capture games without trouble, but I can't get the audio from them to capture. Here is the equipment rundown:
AMD 5900X
Asus Crosshair VII Hero motherboard
6800XT
32G DDR 3200
Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 gen 3
Lewitt Ray Mic
Now here's all the setups and troubleshooting I have worked through:
PIC 1: shows the problem in obs. Microphone is only being detected in one channel, not in stereo. Easy enough to fix with the mono box checked. However, to test it out I used the Start Recording function. It detected no audio from the game I was playing and the microphone input was very quiet, though could hear it very faintly. It was unusable as a recording.
PIC 2: Since this is a Focusrite set up, online research recommended I download and use ALSA to configure the Scarlett. I verifed that the Analogue output 1 (where the mic is attached) is active and not muted and I included a pic of the routing and the mixer. Online research stated I needed to make sure the PCM outputs were connected to the Hardware outputs. This make any music or sound coming from the PC sound correct, but it doesn't help with the OBS Studio set up.
PIC 3: Pulse Audio Volume Control was recommended to be used to set up the Scarlett as Pro Audio. You can see the mic input registering, but again it won't record.
PIC 4: is from qpwgraph. I believe this is where the solution may be found, but it looks right to me on this, though I'm not a hundred percent sure.
Thanks in advance for any assistance given.
