I'm 10 weeks pregnant with a long history of miscarriages, so taking vaginal progesterone pessary for this pregnancy. 4 days ago while inserting, I felt a pain but didn't take much notice of it. After an hour when I went to the bathroom, I saw spotting. I assumed that I might have caused an injury while inserting the pessary. But, the bleeding has increased since then. It flucuates between brown, pink & red colour. The amount also fluctuates. Sometimes, I see blood enough to fill a panty liner, other times just few spots or nothing at all.
We saw heartbeat at the doctor's office yesterday. Though it wasn't measured, the doctor commented that it looks less and decided to treat it as threatened miscarriage. I'm take time off from work to rest.
I have mild cramping on & off, and noticed that the bleeding comes back or increases after inserting the progesterone pessary.
Has anyone experienced similar. What was your outcome? I'm so worried.
