I have a secret relationship with my caretaker AMA

I 28M am paralyzed from a spinal cord injury and my next-door neighbor has been my caretaker for the past two years. Obviously we have gotten close as she helps me get out, shower, dress, and workout five days out of the week. She's very sweet lady in her early 40s and we share lots of laughs and good times.

I have always been a little bit of a flirt with my caretakers but here recently she has been reciprocating it…

The older crowd at therapy has been giving me life

I am a 28-year-old quadriplegic and I have been going to therapy for the past couple years but just recently had decided to really embrace it and talk to as many of the older folks as possible. I found that this brings some joy and peace to not only them but me as well.

I met a man named Roger and a woman named Holly and they are incredible people with really cool, complex lives. They are both 65+ and grew up much in a much different World than I did but it's still so cool to be able to have conversations, make each other laugh, and gain perspective from somebody I would normally never speak to.

I guess I am just sharing this to say I love the energy old people bring and I love learning and gaining perspective about how different our lives are even though we are alive at the same time. Also we should be kind to everyone because you just never know what life will bring you.

I have been a quadriplegic for three years now and even got married this way. We have recently started trying an open relationship and so far so good. There is a lot to share about this injury and all of the new aspects of life that come with it. Feel free to ask me anything and do not hold back!

I was in a diving accident a couple years ago that left me with a spinal cord injury and paralyzed from about shoulders down. I really only have sensation on the top of my shoulders, neck, and face.

I was at the doctors office getting blood drawn and I told her I don't mind getting blood drawn because I can't feel the area where they get the blood from. Then she proceeded to touch different parts of my arm and ask if I can feel before I told her I can't feel any of it.

There are so many different reasons I miss sensation. Physical touch was my love language and now it's not possible. I miss not wanting to get out of the covers in the morning because of the warmth, I miss the warm embrace of a hug, I miss all of the fun things I used to feel.

I had a diving accident a couple years ago leading me to a spinal cord injury leaving me paralyzed from about the chest down. I don't have a hand function but I can move my arms.

I just want to play my PlayStation again. I have the adaptive controller PlayStation came out with but I'm just not near as good with it and it frustrates me. What other equipment do people use who are paralyzed?

I really just want to play my Minecraft, MLB, Madden.
