I’m trying to figure out what happened here and whether anyone else has had a similar experience with Madison Reed.
I’ve been using their color only on my roots (no bleach, no lightening, no overlapping on previously colored hair). I have had an in salon membership since 2020 when my schedule permits it, and when it doesn't I use their color at home. Always the same color. Additionally. my hair underneath hasn’t been recently processed.
Twice in the last two weeks , just after my the last time I did my roots I have had severe damage:
- Sections of my hair are turning bright orange/brassy while drying
- The texture in those areas feels fried, brittle, and rough and breaks off at the slightest touch
At this point I’m wondering if their product buildup causing a is causing a reaction.Has anyone else had damage or color shift like this ?
I’ve stopped using everything for now, but I’m very concerned.
Would really appreciate any insight — or if others have had similar experiences.
