Has anyone had a Samsung phone that was brought on market place, they said it was unlocked (yes I made the mistake of not confirming in the spot-I was on the clock and had a delivery nearby where I picked up phone) I insert my international SIM card and it says the phone is network locked. It’s still functional, I actually was able to add a line with an ESIM (no issues).
I only did it because the rep I talked to about a month ago said I can add a line and keep it active for 2 months and ask for a device unlock.
It’s barely one billing cycle and I couldn’t wait and I called yesterday. The rep I talked to said I’ll be able to unlock it after 5/4, that I shouldn’t need a code or anything.
Granted I was never able to hear front the person that sold me the phone, I was not able to figure out if it had any type of balance. I was told they only had an account balance, not an installment balance.
So now the question to you all is… Have you guys had a situation similar to mine and what has been the end result?
