People who went from bad/mediocre to really good (GM+), what made you a better player?

If you had to identify one or two things that really made a difference, what would they be?

And if you want to give more context, what was your initial rank (or lowest) and your highest rank so far? And what heroes do you play?

I just clicked on the profile of all the top 100 people in one of the scenarios I was playing to check their sensitivities. Among the 100, only 2 were <20cm/360 (one of them 4.1cm/360, how is that even possible btw, assuming that is their actual sens).

The vast majority seemed to be around 40-50 cm/360, which seems extremely low sensitivity to me that I'm used to play between 15-20cm.
Is low sens strictly better for Kovaak's or what's up?
