non-linear games with lots of playtime

hey! i’m looking for a new game to play but a lot of the options seem to be ones with a very set storyline with very little freedom from the player

i get upset very easily with games and do other tasks in the game and come back to it, so this is an important feature for me

some of my favorite games are pikmin 4, breath of the wild, and pokemon sword.

i’d also prefer some more popular games, just so if i get stuck i can look up stuff about it to get in the right direction! it may be cheating but i don’t really care about all that, as long as i have fun.

long lasting and most enjoyable game?

i have a couple options, in my ideal world i’d get all of these, but unfortunately i do not have enough money for that. i have a switch one only, looking to save up for a switch 2
my options are:
kirby and the forgotten land
mario odyssey
super smash bros ultimate
mario kart
if it helps some of my favorite games are pikmin 4 and pokemon shield. if anyone has other options, i’d love to hear about them!
