I applied for GSoC as well, but ig this time it wasn't for me. Just saw on LinkedIn that someone from our college got selected for gsoc. Makes me feel a bit better. I was targetting off campus placements since the beginning, so its a bit reassuring to see someone else. Yes I am a bit jealous, but more than that I feel defeated.

Well can't do anything about it now. I'll work harder.

Didn't get in this year. Ig this is a rant post. Idk who tf got selected in the orgs...idc. I should've done better.

But at some point I think chasing GSoC acceptance made me blind for open source. Open source is more than GSoC.

Applied for HoneyNet Project and FLARE this year. Got rejected for both. For FLARE, I agree, i submitted the proposal pretty late.

But I swear, I learnt a lot. I mean a lot. It scares me how much I jumped in terms of skills and system design and logic building and other stuff in just 2-3 months. It was good. I was into aiml domain but contributing in different orgs gave me a taste of cybersecurity. Now I'm going crazy lol. Amazing what just sheer curiosity can do.

Maybe I knew deep down that I wouldn't get selected. Maybe I didn't.

Well whatever. Can't do anything about it now. Ig I'll make the project and send it to my mentor lol. Like here you go, this is what I tried can you give me feedback? Who knows if they'll respond. I think I'll learn a lot by building the project. Anyways, I'm happy for all those who were selected, really. Pls keep updating of how things are going within the orgs.

And next time I'll try to contribute for the love of it, not for getting selected into GSoC.

All those who have been diagnosed with jaundice in vitb, please comment on this post (even if you are admitted in hospital or are at home). Even if you know someone, count them in as well. Share this as much as you can.

I personally know 3 people. Let's see how far this count goes. Registrar has said 33 have been admitted to hospital, ab dekhte hai kitna hai bc.

Please note that all of this is based on mutual trust. I trust that whoever comments are saying the truth and not spreading misinformation. Please try to understand that this is a very serious issue. These students have lots and lots of years to live their life. They shouldn't be in hospital beds rn. They don't deserve to die or even be bedridden because of the college out of all reasons. I trust all the students in the comment section. Still is anyone is saying lies, please delete the comments or bolo mat 😭
