Hello, I got in for applied math at UCSD. I was wondering if it would be difficult to major in Data Science as well, both in terms of actually applying for DS and handling the units/course load.
UIUC for Industrial Engineering and UCSD for Applied Mathematics. OOS for both money isn't an issue. My hope is to either try to get a CS minor at UIUC or double major at UCSD with something like Data Science. Not entirely sure what to do after graduating, so I would like to keep options open. I know both have pretty good flexibility, but obviously, applied math gives more options. If anybody has suggestions or knowledge on things like networking or internships or how easy it is to minor/double major at these schools that'd be helpful. Thanks in advance.
