I didn't get into PDP

The title says it all. I applied to be a visual arts secondary school teacher. The email said I didn't have a 4-year (120 units) degree with a teachable subject, even though I have 140 units.

I have about 60 units in EDUC courses. I have my BGS (minor in Instruction and Curriculum and Social Justice in Education).

As a teachable subject, in Visual Arts, I have a minor in Contemporary Art (60 units with 24 being in upper division). The remaining units are from WQB and electives. All of my courses were taken at SFU.

I think I should have majored in Art instead of EDUC to be a high school art teacher. I told the academic advisors in the Faculty of Education that I wanted to be a high school art teacher several times, but not once did they point me in the "right direction".

I feel like I have thrown my whole academic life away. I feel like I have been lied to. I am getting different answers as to what qualifies as a teachable subject for the PDP program. I feel like the whole application process is extremely unorganized.

If anyone knows people who did PDP with visual art as their teachable, please let me know.

I really need support right now.
