I sometimes get foamy urine, but whenever I check with a dipstick, protein and albumin are always negative. The only time I get trace protein is when I’m dehydrated. Sometimes bilirubin and calcium also show up positive on the test. Could dehydration alone cause this, or should I be worried about kidney disease or something serious? Am I overthinking this, or is this something I should properly get checked?

tested my urine because I noticed it’s sometimes foamy. I’ve tested it many times and observed that whenever I’m dehydrated, the dipstick shows trace protein, but when I’m well hydrated, it’s always negative. Just wanna know if this is proteinuria

I’ve noticed that my urine is sometimes foamy and the foam doesn’t disappear quickly. Other times, there’s no foam even when I urinate with strong force. I also experience occasional lower back pain, and at one point I had dry, flaky skin on my elbow.

I’ve done urinalysis tests, and the results are usually negative at any time of the day, but my first morning urine sometimes shows a trace amount of protein. My last creatinine test was in 2023.

I had been taking creatine for three months straight, but I stopped a week ago after noticing the foam in my urine.
