As a regular patron and resident of Garfield park apartments and live above the boardroom- last night the boardroom closed permanently.

The owner did not tell staff who was not working at the time and the staff only found out via regulars and co-workers who called them.

This is the result of a landlord and owner dispute. The management alluded to  the owner of the bar and the landlord being in conflict for the sudden closure.

Some staff was not informed until today.

Many residents of the area  have been trying to get in to the bar and have expressed surprise and dismay at the closure.

This is truly a blow to the neighborhood.
