while delivering for uber yesterday in Chicago near west loop area I picked an order up for 7 bucks I pick the food up and went to complete the delivery it was in a rural neighborhood very nice , I contacted the customer his name was Jacob parsons ( The only reason I’m disclosing his name is because of what occurred) so I contacted his to let me into the building because I had to be buzzed in he replied and then buzzed me in , he was on the 3rd floor so I had to walk up a couple steps to get to him so maybe 30 seconds after he buzzed me in I was at his door with his food . As I approached his door I heard him walking up to the door so I knocked to give him his food , after I knocked I heard him walk away and I heard a gun cock ( in my mind I had to process that is was a gun cocking . I didn’t expect to be put in the position ) he opened the door and then pointed a gun in my direction and stated “leave it there and get outta here “ I needed a pin but completed the delivery without it and dropped the food and left “ I contacted support and went to the police station immediately and filled a report . I’m honestly shaken and im just scared to continue doing this I understand I’m in Chicago and I’m an half African American so people will stereotype but that just sickens me how some could do this based of them being black
