If a gerrymander is going to pass, the democrats should send one dem to vote for it with the republicans. Then immediately after come to the media and make legally actionable statements like "we did this gerrymander based on race" and "we hate black people and want to take thier vote away" so the rest of the dems can then sue the map and take it off the table at least for these midterms.
