Hi there I'm just looking for some info on a few thing regarding joining the foreign legion. I would like to preface that I am Canadian, in my 20s and in relatively good shape. (like I've seen mentioned before in the subreddit I'm not trying to escape any kind of life problems or such) I guess I just want to do something good and I see a way I can help make a difference.

My first real question is regarding my experience. While I do lack any real world military or combat experience, I have taken First Aid courses as well as my PAL certification (Canadian gun safety course needed to own a firearm). Just wondering if this would have any effect on if I'll be taken or jobs I'll be able to do.

Second I was just wondering what rules might be in effect on bringing my own equipment (DBUs, Rigs, ETC.) from what I've seen online its not frowned upon but was more curious on what bringing anything into country would look like.

And finally just in regards to travel, mainly just wondering if anyone has made a similar trip out there and just curious on what a good route would be.

Obviously if you have anything else to add I am open to hear just about anything, as I feel this is a pretty big decision if you have any advice or anything to add id appreciate it. Once again I would like to say I understand the dangers and risks that come with taking this step, I'm really just looking for any answers or advice anyone may have. Thanks in advance.
