I found a Sony TC-D5M.

The seller says fast forward doesn’t work, but playback is fine.

For people who know these machines:

Is a broken FF usually just a belt/idler issue, or can it be a sign of bigger problems?

I’m worried there might be hidden issues like motor wear, gear damage, or failing capacitors.

Would you still consider buying one if the price is good?
