I recently purchased the Xteinc X4, which arrived to the Uk in about 8 days with all parts and accessories present and working. I changed over to crosspoint and have had no issues with performance or uploading etc.
However, I have purchased books from several sources (project gothenburg, ebooks.com, and another platform whose name I forget) and can only actually read the books from PGothenburg because they don’t have the DRM locks.
I would prefer to purchase the books and pay the authors. However, I cant seem to find a way to upload these books to the X4 in a way that lets me read them. They simply wont open because of the DRM.
I tried calibre with a plugin - as advised here - but that hasn’t changed anything. How are you guys actually reading these DRM protected books?
Right now I feel like I must be missing something.
