I had my Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with both Ovaries preservation last April 17, 2026 at 7:15AM and I was the first person to be at the OR that day. However, they had to bumped me up due to some C-section emergencies my OBGYN has to abandoned me while I was out at the operating table. Prior to that at the prep room they advised us that the surgery will be 1.5hrs and 2hrs (if the incision is horizontal) 12:30nn they brought me to my room. Felt so groggy. I was so happy that it eas finally over and did not know any of the stories while I was out. I am now almost 3 weeks in my recovery journey but I am so glad that I decided for my uterus, cervix and tubes removed.
My original surgery date was supposed to be May 5. but because I was rushed to the ER through an ambulance for the second time, I asked my OBGYN's office if they have anything earlier and perfect timing, someone cancelled their surgery date and I grabbed that appointment at the beginning of April.
I started feeling nervous cause I has no histort of surgery in the past. But I am so glad that I made that decision.
My incision is longer due to the size of the Uterine Fibroid. I am not sure if its the same length as when you have a C-section. There were 16 skin staples that was finally removed after a week.
For anyone that has issues with their reproductive system, talk to your family doctor and have them hear you out.
Will update this if there's any issues or concerns, but hopefully none.
I had some spotting some days and some troubles while doing number 2 but it seems like its going away but some spasms when I urinate from the last 2 days. There's some pain or discomfort around my incision some days.
