I’m 3 weeks out from 3rd interview, 2 weeks out from references request and about 1 week from last communication from follow up email.

I go out of town end of May to early June. Is it too much to send another follow up end of next week to follow up & let the recruiter know I’ll be out of town/possibly unreachable (going on a cruise)? Their last email said he’d keep me updated once he has more info, so I don’t want to seems pushy but also want to inquire.

Is it normal for contacting references to take a while? After my 3rd interview, the recruiter asked for references and it’ll be 2 weeks since asking and none of my references have been contacted yet.
